Factory Reconditioned
Factory reconditioned engines that Harbor Freight has been selling are weed eaters that have been returned to the retail store where they were purchased because of one or more of the following reasons:
1. The customer couldn't get them started
2. They didn't run properly
3. They were too heavy
4. They made too much noise
5. They vibrated more than their electric trimmers
etc.
The retailer sent them back to the MTD and they had a crew that started them up and adjusted them and made sure that they were running properly.
They were branded "reconditioned" and sent to Harbor Freight who sold them at a lower price.
